last week oranges were 5 riyals for a
kilo. Potatoes were 2 riyals cheaper
a kilo than oranges. Tomatoes were
1 riyal more expensive than potatoes.
Apples were 2 riyals more expensive
than oranges but they were 3 riyals
cheaper than bananas
How much were the oranges?

We Vikings were great travellers. After the
year 800 we sailed all over the world in our
boats. We travelled all over Europe, and
lived in Britain, the north of France and
Russia. We sailed into the Mediterranean
Sea and visited North Africa and the south
of Italy. We sailed north-west, to Iceland –
and we discovered America.
We were very brave sailors and soldiers.
We believed that the world is flat. We didn’t
know that it is round! We believed that our
boats can fall over the edge of the world on
a foggy day – but we weren’t scared!
